The East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is about to soon revitalize the Pekayon Reservoir in RW 02, Pekayon Urban Village, Pasar Rebo. As planned, it will be realized in early May or June 2023.
East Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Wawan Kurniawan said that the revitalization was carried out, as the two-hectare reservoir did not yet have a jogging track, spillway, sluice gate, and greenery area. It includes lighting installation.

According to him, the reservoir itself was built in 2021 with depths varying from two to four meters in a bid to prevent inundation in RW 02 and 03, Pekayon Urban Village.
"This reservoir collects rainwater and water channels from residents' settlements," he stated.
